How Air Abrasion Works
Air Abrasion is a contemporary, minimally invasive method that uses a jet of tiny particles to remove decayed parts of a tooth. During the treatment, a focused spray of aluminium oxide particles is aimed at the area of decay, which gently removes the damaged parts of the tooth without generating heat, vibration, or pressure. Unlike traditional methods, Air Abrasion doesn’t involve drilling or the use of anaesthesia, making it a more comfortable option for treating early-stage cavities or cosmetic imperfections.
This no-drill approach is especially beneficial for patients with dental anxiety, allowing for a relaxed and quicker treatment experience.
